Electric Vehicle Charging Infrastructure
We ensure full regulatory compliance
Ultravioleta Solar designs and installs electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure in all environments: residential, multi-tenant, industrial, and publicly accessible locations. All installations are carried out in accordance with the applicable regulatory framework.
Charging modes and power levels
Mode 1
Direct connection of the electric vehicle to a conventional socket outlet of the installation, without any specific control or protection system dedicated to EV charging between the grid and the vehicle.
Mode 2
Charging using a conventional socket outlet, with a control and protection unit integrated into the cable itself, commonly referred to as a portable EVSE or in-cable control and protection device.
Mode 3
Charging via a dedicated charging point, either a wallbox or pedestal unit, permanently connected to the electrical installation and specifically designed for supplying electric vehicles.
Mode 4
High-power fast or ultra-fast charging in direct current, using dedicated equipment in which the conversion from alternating to direct current takes place outside the vehicle.
Installation environments
Installation of a charger with dedicated protection (circuit breaker and type A/B residual current device). Optional integration with a PV system for direct solar charging through surplus management (Eco-Smart).
Design of shared electrical infrastructure in accordance with Royal Decree-Law 29/2021: pre-installation with conduits and cable trays, shared protection board, and individual metering per charging point, including support with homeowners’ association approvals and agreements.
Comprehensive charging solutions for corporate car parks and logistics centres, with dynamic load management systems (Power Sharing / Power Boost) to optimise available power, as well as user access control and per-user billing.
Fast and semi-fast charging points deployed in compliance with Regulation (EU) 2023/1804, tailored to fleet operation, duty cycles, and required turnaround times.
Recommendation
Combining a photovoltaic installation with EV charging is one of the most attractive and impactful solutions from an economic perspective. It enables vehicles to be charged with 100% renewable energy generated on-site, maximising the self-consumption ratio and reducing the marginal cost of charging to practically zero during solar production hours.
